Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers to the most common questions about plain X
plain X uses a volume-based billing model — not restrictive per-seat licenses. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of transcription minutes. When you transcribe a video or audio file, its duration is deducted from your balance. Any follow-up tasks on that same file (translations, subtitles, or voice-overs) don’t consume additional minutes.
Annual plans: Your total yearly allowance is pooled, so unused minutes from one month can be used later within the same year.
Monthly plans: Unused minutes don’t carry over to the next month.
If you reach your monthly allowance, you can:
Upgrade to a higher tier,
Purchase top-up minutes, or
Enable billable extra minutes to keep working without interruption.
This gives you full control over your usage and costs.
