Building bridges: plain X powers GMF panel with live subtitles
The Global Media Forum is an annual conference attracting around 2000 journalists and media experts from around the world discussing the future of journalism. The event is hosted by Deutsche Welle and takes place in Bonn, Germany.
This year’s motto “Breaking barriers, building bridges” perfectly matched the idea of plain X live subtitling: connecting people and fostering communication through real-time transcription and translation.
This particular feature enables an audience to not only listen to the debate, but also be able to read what is being discussed. This year, for the very first time, a session at the Global Media Forum hosted by Deutsche Welle has been live subtitled with the purpose to serve people with hearing disabilities. A learning, which is a bit surprising: Live-subtitling is also comfortable for international participants or those who want to follow presentations more clearly: plain X ensures a richer, more inclusive experience — all happening seamlessly and automatically.
Fast subtitling – serving all with high quality transcription and translation
plain X Live subtitling builds on cutting edge technology and plays out subtitles and translations into multiple languages.
